Previous Red Bull chief Christian Horner is reportedly "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he pursues a return to grand prix racing, according to Aston Martin F1 chief executive officer Andy Cowell.

The British racing team is among the organizations that are associated with the former chief.

Cowell mentioned he had confirmed the developments with team principal Lawrence Stroll recently at the Singapore GP.

"It seems like Christian is contacting nearly every team principal at the moment," stated Cowell.

"I can clearly say there are no arrangements for the involvement of Christian in an leadership or investment capacity in the future."

Other Teams React

The American team chief Ayao Komatsu disclosed that the former Red Bull leader had "contacted" the American squad but added: "Nothing has gone any further. It is finished."

Alpine executive director Steve Nielsen mentioned the team's executive adviser and unofficial chief Flavio Briatore was "old friends" with Horner.

The Alpine director commented: "I'm unaware what they discuss. Everything I know is there are no arrangements for Christian to arrive at Alpine but that isn't to say it might not transpire."

The historic British team team principal James Vowles confirmed that Horner had not approached them.

"We're quite satisfied with the organization we have and it's effective," Vowles said. "I see no justification to alter this."

Previous Developments

The ex-Red Bull chief is free to return F1 by the middle of next year after completing a departure deal with Red Bull on September 22nd.

The veteran motorsport figure was fired as Red Bull team principal after the British Grand Prix in July.

Several informants at Red Bull have suggested the settlement package was estimated at €60 million (£52 million).
