Paramount Skydance Will Cut Around 2,000 American Positions – Report

Skydance Paramount will initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are expected, with the company planning to disclose all specifics in its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates stated the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.

By December 2024, Paramount retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response on the matter.
